David James Homes would like to introduce Audrey Phelps as the new sales associate in the Culpeper office. She has been with David James Homes for nine years as the sales assistant and coordinator in Lynchburg. She is looking forward to making Culpeper her new home. Bryan Forsing of Anytime Fitness in Culpeper has recently been awarded “Elite Trainer” status through members in the news The International Sports Sciences Association. He holds certifications as a Fitness Trainer, Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, Senior Fitness, and Specialist in Exercise Therapy through ISSA, making him qualified to provide personal training to a variety of clients. Faye’s Office Supply would like to congratulate Kim Margrave on her 10 year Anniversary at Faye’s. Bo Kilby, Owner of R W Kilby Wire and Water, is thankful for the dedication of all his employees. “Among our employees, Alan Boxley has 35 years of service, Jerry Kilby and Jay Murray each have 15 years, and George Settle has 10 years with the company. We all make a good team”, says Mr. Kilby. Mary Sandridge, Communications Director at the Alzheimer's Association Central and Western Virginia reports that more than 180 residents from Culpeper, Orange and Madison joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and united in a movement to reclaim the future for millions on Sept. 6 at Yowell Meadow Park. Participants raised more than $33,500 to fund Alzheimer's care, support and research programs. The Agape Walkers, was the top team who raised $5,590. The team captain is Selene Matthews who was the Walk's top individual fundraiser with $1,715. Pranapiloga happily announces that they have another new hire bringing their total to 5 in 5 months! Gabi Trump will be joining us next week to teach Zumba. Gabi has many years of dance training, instruction and certification. She says, "I want Zumba participants to say "I can't wait" to go to class instead of "I should" go to class." Welcome to the pranapiloga tribe, Gabi! Dr. Russell Brear, the Ophthalmologist at Commonwealth Eye Center, will be flying to Guatemala for a week in November to perform much needed cataract and other vision saving surgeries with Health Talent International. Every year, he volunteers at least a week to international medical missions working in the poorest of neighborhoods where there is no local ophthalmologist.
