Main Causes Hereditary: passed down from generation

to generation.

Breastfeeding on one breast more than the other can cause differences in size.

The presence of a breast mass. (Less likely)

Deformity of the chest wall may contribute to displacement of the breast

Common Treatments

Small Breast Augmentation (breast implant): to address size difference

Breast Lift: to address the sagging of the breasts

Breast Reduction: to correct symmetry of larger breasts

The Procedure

Under a general anesthetic in our office

About 2 hours to perform

About 2 weeks until patient may return to normal activities

Usually considered as a cosmetic procedure and is therefore not covered by insurance
