A NOTE FROM THE PASTOR

We are hosting a St. Andrew’s Dinner on Tuesday, No-vember 28, 2017. A St. Andrew’s Dinner is a dinner hosted by Cardinal Sean to promote vocations to the priesthood. Young men from area parishes will be invited to attend. The evening begins with a prayer service in the church. Then there is the dinner followed by some talks by seminar-ians, the vocation office and finally the Cardinal. I want to thank our pastoral associate, Tom Griffin, for working with Chancery in setting up this event. Our sponsorship of this event is all part of meeting one of our goals in our pastoral plan.

Soup for the Soul will begin on Wednesday, November 29th at St. Dorothy’s Church. It is a four-week Advent program that will begin with some reflections in the church and then the participants will be invited downstairs for some home-made soup and conversation.

St. Dorothy’s Christmas Fair will be held on December 9, from

9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the downstairs of St. Dorothy’s Church.

The Grand Annual collection continues the intent of the Grand Annual collection was to generate funds for capital improvements. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years we had to use it for ordinary operating expenses. It is my

hope that with the continued success of the increased offer-

tory campaign, we will be able to set aside the funds from

the Grand Annual for capital improvements. Thank you in advance for your support of this collection.

Well I guess that is it for now. Until next time, take care. Fr. Earley

HAVE A HEART, SPARE A DIME

We're One Wilmington (WOW), The Sons of Italy and The Knights of Columbus will donate funds for two of the three AED units (defibrillators) for the parish There are large water jugs in the back of church if you could contribute to the cost for the 3rd unit. Thank you.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR Donations of beverages, chips, etc. would be greatly appreciated to help defray kitchen expenses. For the Christmas Bazaar. These Items can be left downstairs in St, Dorothy Kitchen For more information please contact Marlene Bickford at 978.408.7615.
