New Cathedral Ministry Monsignor Brovey and the Pastoral Council are working together to create a new , much-needed Cathedral ministry – a Welcome to Our Parish team. To do so, we need the help of a small group of people (2 or more) to share their time and talent. The team would create a plan for ensuring that new parishioners are welcomed and recognized. This is an opportunity to help our parish in a small way that will yield positive and lasting results. We hope you won’t be shy about volunteering for this team. It is not necessary to be a long-time parishioner to participate in this ministry. Please contact either Monsignor Brovey ([email protected]) or Marian Mentavlos ([email protected]). With your help we can get this new ministry started soon! Thank you for prayerfully considering this important need.

Word of Life: “If we understand the human person as the ‘temple of Holy Spirit’--the living house of God--then these latter issues fall logically into place as the crossbeans and walls of that house. All dierct attacks on innocent human life, such as abortion and euthansia, strike at the house’s foundation. These directly and immediately violate the human person’s most fundamental right-the right to life. Neglect of these issues is the equivalent of building our house on sand.”-- “Living the Gospel of Life: A Challenge to American Catholics” (A Statement by the Catholic Bishops of the United States), no. 22, (USCCB)
