AND THE LORD ADDEDTO THE CHURCH...

Ministry NewsC.O.M.E. - Calvary On Mission Everyday My heart was deeply touched during the children’s musical last Sunday. As I looked at the group that sang before us, I was filled with joy. We had children from all sorts of families represented! There truly was a blending of different backgrounds. That kind of diversity pleases God! I am so thankful for being a part of a church that has its doors swung wide open. I am so thankful that we seek those whom God has touched and whom God is going to touch through His church. If you are one of many, many children’s workers, I say “thank you.” Please know that you are doing kingdom work. Please know that you are planting seeds that may take some time to bloom but will always be present in the soul. Our time together was a great reflection of the church. We must step up our prayers for the search committee and the man they have chosen to pursue. Please pray for God’s will to be crystal clear. I want to urge you to get your children involved in a personal way during this Christmas season. Pick a ministry where you can have hands on. Let them see the joy of giving. We need this young generation to know the love of God in a special way!

Merry “Christ”mas.

Adults/Outreach MinistryAWESOME! You did it again! AWESOME, once again! As of today, every need and assignment for the “Calvary on Mission at Christmas” on Wednesday, December 14, has been covered by our adult LCG’s! Angel Tree, ROC, and Tree Top ministries are ready to go for that special night. I want to thank all of our LCG’s for their willingness to give and serve. Your example is truly inspirational! Wednesday, December 14, is going to be great! Please make sure to check with your LCG leadership if you have any questions or need details on time, location, and specifics for December 14. Thanks again for ALL you do.

Recreation MinistryROC Gym and ROC Holiday Schedule• The gym will be closed all day and the ROC will be closing at 7:00 p.m. on December 19, 20, 22, 27 and 29. The gym floor will be refinished during this time, so all of the people who walk on the track, please keep in mind that the smell of the varnish might be quite strong.• The ROC will be closed for the holidays on December 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 and January 1 and 2.

From the Interim Pastor Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is off to a good start but a ways to go before we reach our goal of $57,000. As of this writing, we have received close to $27,000. I trust as we move through December and prayerfully before Christmas, we will have exceeded our goal. It’s imperative that Calvary maintains her high level of commitment to International Missions and faithfully supporting this offering is one way we exhibit our desire to impact lostness around the world. If you have not responded, I trust you will do so, perhaps this Sunday. The unchurched need the gospel and our missionaries need our support in fulfilling the Great Commission. Thanks for your ongoing efforts in being a Great Commission church! Calvary is being blessed as our wonderful Lord responds to the faithfulness of His people.

As we move through this interim period, every member must continue praying not only for the Pastor Search Committee but for all of our present needs and ongoing ministries. We are to be prayerful, positive, present and participating! Believing God that His best is yet to come, together we move forward! Sunday should prove to be another glorious day as we worship out of the overflow of God’s goodness and as we open His enriching Word, praying He will meet us at our point of need. It’s my joy to serve you! Thank you, dear people, for your words of encouragement!

Bro. Jerry
