1 Opening Remarks The President (IPH) welcomed all to the eighth Annual General Meeting of the British Triathlon Federation. IPH introduced Jack Buckner, Chief Executive, and paid tribute to the immeasurable contribution made by the previous incumbent, Zara Hyde Peters. IPH offered congratulations to David Rigby on his re-election as President of Triathlon England. IPH noted the point raised by Welsh Triathlon that the Annual Audited Accounts had not been circulated directly to the members. It was noted that on approval by the Board in July the Annual Audited Accounts were posted to the BTF website. No objections were raised by the members to continue proceedings at this meeting and it was noted that the Annual Audited Accounts would be circulated with the statutory notice to members in future. Apologies Apologies were noted from Dr Sarah Springman, CBE, David McNamee, Neill Craigie, Jon Ridgeon, and Ryan Wilkinson.

2 Annual Review (see Appendix 1) The meeting received the Annual Review, including a Financial Overview presented by the Chief Executive and President respectively. The presentation outlined the activities of the Federation since the previous Annual General Meeting, highlighting the splendid performance of the triathlon and paratriathlon GB teams at all levels, and the outstanding success of the Triathlon England Team at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

3 Audited Annual Accounts Acceptance of the Audited Annual accounts was unopposed.

5 Appointment of Auditors By unanimous vote, the members approved the reappointment of Haysmacintyre as the Federation’s auditors.

6 General Question and Answer Session Following conclusion of the formal business of the meeting the President invited questions from the floor. Geoff Earl raised a query regarding one of the figures within the Income and Expenditure Bridge for the Year ended 31 March 2014 (Annual report, Page 35) not forming part of the total. Kay Simnett confirmed that this was a printing error and apologised for the oversight.* Questions were answered on paratriathlon classification at Rio and beyond, coach development internationally and progress around commercial and potential sponsorship opportunities.

7 Concluding remarks The President thanked the Board and the Home Nations’ representatives and their members for their attendance. In closing IPH expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation

to Jem Lawson who would be stepping down in December from the post of Chair of the Triathlon England Management Board and Triathlon England representative on the BTF Board. IPH welcomed Jem’s successor, Bill James. IPH also acknowledged the contribution of Malcolm Westwood, Age-Group Teams Director, following his resignation, noting Malcolm’s dedication to the Age-Group community. IPH also offered thanks and appreciation to Ryan Wilkinson, Finance Director who would be resigning in March 2015.

*We are able to confirm that the figure of 180,524 shown within the Triathlon England column against Age Group income is in fact a printing error which was not picked up during our proof reading session. The number should not be in the report at all; the number actually relates to the 2013 accounts for Home Nation Talent which explains why the figure is not included within the totals.

We can confirm that the Statutory Accounts signed off by the Board in respect of 31 March 2014 are indeed correct.
