I would feel comfortable using them. I’m not the

type to go and look for it. If there

were more natural products available, then I would be more

likely to buy. But I’m kind of

indifferent. I do feel there would

be some positives. I would

buy them if it’s better for me and

Wouldn’t buy anything that is too oily. Will not buy things that

are too dry either. Looking for

L’Oreal is good but they can do

The Body Shop has aspects that L’Oreal should have in their

values has been conserved after the acquisition, makes it an ok

relationship. It’s definitely weird because The

Body Shop acts like a smaller

company but it’s not.

There are too many little items, I don’t know what

I’m on the fence. It doesn’t need

to be natural, but if I like the smell of it, and I know it’s natural, then I will choose that over something that is not good and not natural. Natural would be more important. I like less smell

or almost no smell. I would choose natural attribute over

fragrance.

I’m indifferent as long as it works and it doesn’t

irritate my skin.

I tried Dr. Hauska and

Derma E but I broke out in it. I felt like there bumps in my skin – didn’t

feel like it was cleaning that well. I don’t

feel like there is proper science

and right technology

behind it yet. It doesn’t

matter how natural it is, it has to suite

me. If I like it, I will try. Some has really nice packaging. I did try, but somehow I didn’t quite

believe in it. Just telling me natural is not going to cut it.

It’s not the first thing I look at.

If I pick up a product that

interested me and it’s

natural, I would try it.

But I wouldn’t discount it just because it’s not natural.

Because it’s more about

lifestyle and you feel if they care about the same causes as you,

you have something in

common. And if you care about animals, you would want to

support a company that is against animal

testing.

I think there are a lot of ways that

businesses can do it. Promise not to test on animals, part of proceeds

go to charity. Absolutely.

Because it is something that

draws more attention from

women. If they make

donations or some kind of fund that they

can support for women, with their product

sales, then that can be

meaningful for something like breast cancer research or

osteoporosis.

I think every industry where it’s consumer part, people can do their part to better the world.

There’s examples of it

being successful –

especially with The Body

Shop and with MAC.

Makes me more comfortable with buying The Body

Shop because the quality of the

products that I have bought from L’Oreal in the past has worked, so if it works, I would stick

with it.

I think that’s a good thing that L’Oreal owns

The Body Shop. I have no reasons to like or dislike about that. I

think it’s a good idea.

It doesn’t really change my views for anything that L’Oreal owns

The Body Shop. L’Oreal can take some cues from The Body Shop to

Customer service could definitely use some work. Some

The girls that they hire are extremely

myself on the labels. They

couldn’t tell me whether it would be

purchase stuff directly from the drug store; st. ives or vasoline; when it comes to presents I go to bath & body works; selection of handcream available there; I am more attracted to go to that store; it has everything; bath & body works

Hasn't really given any benefit that I was looking for, so didn't really develop a brand loyalty

to it. Sometimes a bit pricey,

hence I buy as a gift

no recollection of the experience; I didn't even enter the body shop; I don't need a scented the body lotion; I would just go the drugstore; I don't need the extra ingredient; I would go to brand that I trusted; I don't associate face care to body

Like them, use their products for almost

everything, don't consider them premium,

well known brand

L'Oreal as a beauty company is very well established, lots of different lines that target a different

demographic. As a business student, I can appreciate what they

are doing. They spend a lot on R&D and I

personally know people who work there and I

am impressed.

They are a corporation out to get money and may not have the best interest of

their consumers or society. For example, in India they

promote the whiteness products (i.e. not self-

esteem) which proves their double standards

Shocked, didn't expect that at all, The Body

Shop is more natural so didn't think L'Oreal

would be into that stuff

L'Oreal needs to start supporting these

causes too

They should not own them, The Body Shop should be run independently. Now it's

just part of another large corporation

Looking for face cream that wouldn't dry out my skin, and had no idea

what to look for. I asked a salesperson who asked a bunch of

questions and explained why the stuff I am using

is drying it out. She showed me the Vitamin E moisturizer and made me try it out on my skin, which really helped. She wasn't aggressive and

mentioned extra promotions but left me

alone to decide

About 2 weeks ago, went in to refill some

products. But they had a buy 2 get 1 free, or buy 3 get 2 free - got

great deals. Fast service. Fun!

I got 1/2 off so I ended up buying a lot. The staff was

very nice and they had orange bags so I donated

$5 to some cause
