ANTONIO & MIGUELWhen we began to think about this creation, and before rerearsals started, we exchanged some impressions trying to find out in which direction our desire to work together again could take us.Ten years ago we met and created a piece, 'Antonio Miguel', a solo done by two, striking a match a striking encounter for us personally and professionally.At that time, in 2000, we had the energy of who starts something for the first time, we believed that we could change something, dance, spectacle, its limits, its conventions and rules, maybe the world.However much has happened on the micro and the macro level, we met and go took different ways, finally, the world did not stop surprising and disappointing us.Now in 2010, we asked ourselves, if we still had this desire to change something, if we had something really important to say through dance and show in addition to our desire to meet again.Then we started to looking around us and we became interested in understanding how we were and how we and the world have been. According to the official calendar a decade has passed, we have entered a new century and a new millennium. What had happened? What impressions stayed from this period?During the process, already in the studio, as we were talking and trying out things, we focused on the time issue. Would we have changed in these ten years? Was there an evolution or would we always talk about the same thing but differently?The time had really produced anything in us, in our body, our energy, the way we looked at life and work. Will the motivation and stimulus we have now be enough to produce anything new?After all, the question remains the same: who are we?

Every thing is built and everything is unbuilt, constantly.Ambra Senatore and Antonio Tagliarini are two performers and authors with independent artistic biography. They meet for the first time for this new creation. They watch themselves, they study themselves, they recognize points in common and differences.“ What we know is a fragile and open starting point: we start from something that is banal, simple, oblique. We try continuously to move the point of view of objects and actions. We try to little modify the distance from the customary facts. We try to create confusion from the different layers of the reality, we search doubt zone.”

An impossibile self-portrait. A self-interview, many interviews. The confession. I am a presenter, a dancer, a show-man. I am...me, me...who am i? i am my own time. I am my own things. I am my own heroes. I am my own alter ego... i am so many chances that i dissolve, i disappear, i coincide with the space that surrounds me, i coincide with the eyes which look at me and that by looking at me make me feel possible and so real...This work deepens an issue that i have been investigating for years which led me to the creation of “Freezy” and “Titolo provvisorio:senza titolo”, my last two performances. “Show” was born as the third and the last part of the so called «representation trilogy». “Show” is my research: it deals with some questions that i am still wondering despite the awareness that to give an unique and decisive answer is impossible.I am living a time where my presence and my identity are fragile, unsure, confuse. I standing aside of my own things and so i become the core of my work, of my research, of my questions. There is a strange fight and a strong contradiction between being and not being, escaping in order to remark the presence in the absence, the necessity of telling and defining my self... in a continuous game, in a continuous dialectic between introducing and representing myself...between lying and believing to

TEMPORARY TITLE: UNTITLEDThe space is brightly lit: on stage a chair, a table, a lamp.Everything is in place. A man enters. He lets the audience watch him. He smiles. His expression changes. He cries. A mouse has been squashed, eliminated. A woman kills her husband, and two children. A pair of shoes, fake, speak with eachother before walking into shop window. The crux of the “dramedy” revolves around one obsessive reflection: everything is, at the same time, true and false, real and fake. This theme is developed through the mingling of the tragic, the absurd and the ridiculus.Everything is perceived, thought, filtered, performed. Everything is both inside and outside of my head. Representation can be more real than reality; reality can be more false than a badly-told lie.
