The Board as Advocates “Enhance the organization’s public standing by articulating the mission, accomplishments, and goals to the public, other organizations and Lions Clubs in a positive and professional manner.”
Why Does Advocacy Matter?
Board members serve as a connection point on behalf of the organization
Organizational growth is directly tied to diversity and strength of relationships in the communities we serve
Board members bring their own spheres of influence to the table- extending our organizational reach
Spheres of Influence Connections that might benefit the organization by furthering its mission
Only you can serve as a connection to create affinity
Some examples: Lions Clubs- yours and those in your
District Professional Associations Colleagues Business Associates Friends and Family Other Clubs and Groups
