President’s Message Greetings Everyone:
Hard to believe that we are already into the month of May. Time seems to fly
more quickly than ever. Summer is just around the corner. Please keep I mind
that your pets feel the heat just as much as we do, and you should provide a
cool spot for them. Remember do not leave your pets in the car, the interior of
the car heats up very quickly.
Once again, I want to thank Kathy Gallina for arranging our monthly presenta-
tion. Dr. Patti presented last month and told a wonderful story about her award
and the services she offers to the Pueblo community on Saturday at her clinic
and pantry. She is also the full-time vet at
Pueblo Animal Services. Kathy has arranged
for Tom Boies from the Southern Colorado
Hunting Retriever Club tis should be an inter-
esting topic to speak at our May meeting. This
should be an interesting presenta-
tion. If you have ideas or areas of
interest, please let Kathy know so
she can try to arrange programs for
our meetings.

spend with us, & they spend most of it
waiting for us to come home each day."

President’s Message Continued... Things are beginning to take shape for our Annual Dog Show in November. It is never to early to plan. Pam
Houston has been working hard on getting the trophies for the show. In addition to purchasing the items needed,
she is still seeking donors to help lower the costs for the club. If you want your donation to be listed in the Pre-
mium list, Pam needs your donation form by our May 15th meeting. If you can’t decide Pam will take your money
later and you will be mentioned in the catalog as a donor. The cost is only $10.00 per day per breed/variety. I will
be collecting trophy donations at the meeting if Pam does not make it back from the dog shows on time.
May’s meeting is sounding very busy. Our annual elections are to be held at the June meeting. In preparation for
that, the Nominating Committee presented their recommended slate for the Board positions. (See April Minutes).
Our By-Laws state that we will accept nominations from the floor for the positions available. Persons being nomi-
nated must be present to accept the nomination or have submitted in writing their willingness to accept a nomi-
nation.
Hope to see everyone at the meeting on Tuesday, May 15th at 7 PM.
