What is mentalizing?

Mentalizing is a form of imaginative

mental activity about others or oneself,

namely, perceiving and interpreting

human behaviour in terms of

intentional mental states (e.g. needs,

desires, feelings, beliefs, goals,

purposes, and reasons).
