Director's Corner

Well March certainly came in like a lion!! It was a stressful and challenging month for us all and I am happy to

report that we all made it through! We became a warming center during those trying days when many did not

have power. The Town pulled together as a community and we were able to provide a place for people to gather,

have some hot food and enjoy pleasant company.

That being said….this center is a pleasant place to be! Every day the staff, Friend’s Group and Advisory Board

are working to come up with new and exiting programs and services to offer. Don’t forget, your opinion counts

too! Please join us for our monthly COA Board meetings at the Town House the 2nd Tuesday of every month at

11:30am in room 200. We welcome the support and interaction. If you need a ride, our vans can provide curb

side service to and from, just give us a call.

Do you know you can drop off or pick up medical equipment in Pembroke at the Commission of Disability. Their

address and number is located on page 6.

A new Metal Detecting Group meets here on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. Use your metal detector

and join us for exciting planned hunting excursions.

Join me at the Kingston Mall on Friday April 20th from 10:00am-3:00pm where I will be hosting a booth at the

Community Behavioral Health Fair. Local community agencies and non-profit providers will be there to answer

questions and show you what resources are available to you.

I would like to thank all who have supported me through my first few months of adjustment as your new Director.

I have enjoyed getting to know more of you as time moves on. Anything I can help you with, please do not

hesitate to ask. If I do not know the answer, I promise I will get it for you!

Have a wonderful day! Paula
