American Revolution

• This unit on the American Revolutionary War is designed for middle school students, grades 6-8.

• It will last approximately 8-10 days.

• The students will be exposed to many aspects of the war including, events leading up to the conflict, key figures from both sides, major battles, and the resolution.

• Given proper instruction, the students will be able to analyze and synthesize the main events leading up to the American Revolution.

by introducing the upcoming unit on the American Revolution by asking open-ended questions about what students are already familiar with or what they are interested in.

• The first assignment is to begin reading, My Brother Sam is Dead
