The AKC Club Presidents
Challenge 2012
AKC Club Presidents Challenge
Why a Challenge?• The rights of responsible dog owners are under
attack…from 2007 to 2012 there has been a 350% INCREASE in proposed “anti-dog” legislation
• The increase in anti-dog and anti-breeder legislation threatens our purebred dogs and our way of life
Last year (2011):
– HSUS devoted $55 MILLION to “advocacy and public policy.” while AKC club member contributions to the AKC PAC were $6,662
