President, the 39th Annual Meeting of the

Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology

It is our great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 39th Annual Meeting of the Japanese

Society for Investigative Dermatology (39th JSID) and JSID-Asia-Oceania –Forum, which will be

held in Osaka from 12th to 14th , December,2014. The meeting will consist of Tanioku Memorial

Lecture and some special lectures as well as oral and poster presentation.

Tanioku Lectureship Award, the highest award in JSID, will be given to Prof. Angella Christiano,

Columbia University, USA. The meeting venue is Hotel Hankyu Expo Park, located near to the

Osaka University. It takes only 20 minutes from Osaka-Itami Airport and 40 minutes from

Shin-Osaka station by public transportation.

Osaka is known as one of the representing city of trades in Japan since the age of Hideyoshi

Toyotomi just prior to Tokugawa era. He introduced and cultivated new science, new technology

and new arts all of them are categorized into Naniwa no Bunka, culture of Osaka followed by

modern western medicine founded by Koan Ogata, Father of Medicine, Osaka University at early

19th century.

We sincerely wish 39th JSID will open the door of New Innovative Dermatolgy from Osaka to the

world and all the participants enjoy not only scientific programs but also the culture and cuisine of

Osaka.

The JSID in collaboration with SHISEIDO Company, Limited, grants the JSID's Fellowship

2) SID/JSID Young Fellow Collegiality Awards

By providing an opportunity for international exchange between the Society for Investigative

Dermatology (SID) and the JSID, this award is aimed to be beneficial for the development of

young researchers in aspects of research and experience.

3) ESDR/JSID Young Fellow Collegiality Awards

By providing an opportunity for international exchange between the European Society for

Dermatological Research (ESDR) and the JSID, this award is aimed to be beneficial for the

development of young researchers in aspects of research and experience.

4) ASDR/JSID Exchange Program

The exchange program is organized by the Australasian Society for Dermatological Research

(ASDR) and the JSID from 2011.

5) Diploma of the Dermatological Scientist

This award is granted by the JSID with an aim to foster and support the students from overseas.

【Call for Abstracts】

All abstracts will be accepted by on-line submission. Only one paper or poster is presented by the same author, although

a presenter can be a coauthor of other papers. We hope that many researchers will submit and participate. Kindly note

that the acceptance of the abstracts, presentation time, and categories are decided at the discretion of the secretariat.

Only the JSID members will be able to submit abstracts.

※Foreign researchers will be able to submit abstracts even if he/she is not a member of the JSID.

Abstracts are to be submitted in English.

The title should be within 140 characters and the abstract text should be within 1800 characters, including spaces.

Up to 15 authors, including coauthors, and up to 10 affiliations may be registered.

※ Presentation type, either Oral & Poster or Poster only, can be selected, however, even if Oral & Poster is selected,

you may be asked to present as Poster only, according to review results.
