PASTORAL REFLECTIONS

North American Martyrs Parish thanks all parishioners especially those who worked so hard for the success of the Divine Mercy Prayer Service last Sunday. We had in attendance more than eighty people and we prayed for the Universal Church, our Archdiocese, individual families in our parish and the world. May God bless our North American Martyrs Parish.

The 11:00am Mass this weekend at St. Isaac Jogues will be our parish farewell Mass with Rev. Fr. John Kyere followed by a reception. Father John served the Ghanaian Catholic Ministry in our parish in his capacity as a Chaplain. The North American Martyrs Parish thanks Fr. John Kyere for his outstanding leadership. We are all encouraged to attend this farewell Mass to grace this memorable occasion. Father John will forever be in our prayers.

sentido de las Escrituras sobre la Cruz y la Resurrección;

If you have not yet participated, please prayerfully consider a gift today. Please know that every dollar of your gift will have a positive impact in someone’s life.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE5:30pm Tuesday, April 24th, St. Thomas the Apostle

Church 872 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford

The Mass of Remembrance is a time for reflection on the lives of our children who have died from any cause. The causes are numerous but the resulting emotions of pain, longing, and sorrow are the same. Perhaps one of the most misunderstood and often overlooked losses is of miscarriage. Too frequently, it is seen as less than other deaths of children, but for those who have experienced miscarriage, it is no less painful. Parents wish these children to be remembered and the Mass of Remembrance provides this opportunity. Please join us in praying for children who have died by miscarriage, abortion, illness, or any cause, and for their families. Refreshments will be served following Mass. For more info call Sister Suzanne Gross, F.S.E. Program Coordinator, ProLife Ministry 8602338269.
