Pilgrims. The Pilgrims were people who left England and came to America in 1620, because they wanted to practice their religion freely.

are people who lived in America before anyone else.

In the spring of 1621 some Native Americans started to help the Pilgrims grow food and make homes.

showed the Pilgrims how to hunt turkey.

had a lot of food to help them survive the next winter.

Native Americans for their help. They shared their food with the Native Americans at a big meal – the first Thanksgiving celebration!
