Tom is the Founder and Managing Director of Taylor

Hopkinson Associates and he focuses on retained, executive

search mandates, as well as, growing the THA business

and teams across all regions. Supported by our team of

researchers and consultants in international locations he

advises our clients on building world class management

teams at C-Suite and Director levels. His experience covers

onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, wave, tidal and biomass

sectors predominantly, although he has also worked in niche

technologies, such as fuel cells, coatings and energy from

waste.

He started his renewable energy search career in 2004 and

built renewable energy search propositions for a multinational

PLC and a start-up generalist recruitment business before

deciding to set up Taylor Hopkinson Associates in 2009 to

focus exclusively on international renewable and cleaner

energy infrastructure markets.

Brian joined Taylor Hopkinson in late 2016, with responsibility

for development of Taylor Hopkinson’s brand in the US/

Canada through opening and managing our flagship US office

in Houston.

Brian has successfully recruited across multiple industries

and skill levels throughout his career. He brings over eight

years of professional sales and recruitment experience in

telecommunications, U.S. Army, and energy. He has also

received multiple awards for sales and during his military

career.

Jeff, after 6 successful years working in the leisure

industry transferred his business development and account

management skills to recruitment consultancy in September

2008. In July 2009 Jeff became the first employee of Taylor

Hopkinson. He specialises in roles for the wind, wave and

tidal sector covering the full project life cycle. Account

management strategies and delivery for a number of

industry leading names also falls under Jeff’s remit. He is

also responsible for assisting with the entrance of Taylor

David has a BSc in Marine Biology from Stirling University

and has over 15 years’ experience working in client

development and sales roles. He managed to secure a place

on Banco Santander graduate programme and was part of

a small team developing the banks relationship with high

profile Universities. David then made the transition to

energy recruitment with Spencer Ogden.  Working on both

contingency and retained assignments he was successful in

placing candidates across the project lifecycle and became

the recruiter of choice for a number of high profile clients.

Since joining Taylor Hopkinson David has been developing

the company’s presence in the North American market.  He

has successfully delivered on assignments across solar and

onshore wind.

...to Renewable Energy and the Environment

During our first year of operation, we committed to minimising our carbon footprint wherever

possible without sacrificing the quality of our service delivery. We also committed to reducing

this footprint per head every year by reviewing our practices, operations and suppliers

frequently, ensuring we are doing all we can to reduce our environmental impact.

In January 2014, to be amongst our clients and latest developments in industry, the Glasgow

team moved to their new home in the INOVO Industry Engagement Building, at Strathclyde

University, which is the first building in city centre Glasgow to offer an EPC rating of A and

BREEAM “Excellent”. This development forms part of the Technology and Innovation Centre,

and these together form the International Technology and Renewable Energy Zone (ITREZ).

Our commitment to the industry is further demonstrated in our policies which we believe

show ambitious plans, but underpin our ethos.

Recent charity work (we undertake a minimum of one fundraising effort per year) has seen

the team at Taylor Hopkinson Associates successfully complete a half-marathon in 2012, a

gruelling endurance event “Tough Mudder” in 2013, a 20 mile run to the summit of Mount

Snowden in 2014 and a 215 mile bike ride from Durham to Edinburgh in 2015, raising over

£12,000 to date for charities such as Renewable World, The Alzheimer Society, The MS Society,

Do-nation and Cancer Research.
