view and public comment on the UIL web site.

program will affect student-athletes in grades 9-12, regardless of sport, gender or participation level.

This meeting was called to order at 3:14 pm by Alex Koulovatos, (Burkburnett H.S.), President of the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

APPROVAL OF MINUTESA motion was made by Leland Bearden (Smyer High School) to approve

the minutes and seconded by Kit Kyle (Marcus High School). Minutes

approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT

board. Motion was made by Rodney Vigil (Roosevelt High School) and a

second made by Jan Newland (Mesquite High School). Report accepted.

Sam Tipton, Executive Director, presented a proposal to remodel the

TGCA building, using the N & B Home Improvement. The cost of the

project would be $28,700. This would be taken out of the reserve monies.

Motion was made Leland Bearden (Smyer High School) and a second

made by Rodney Gee (Eastland High School). Proposal accepted.

Sam Tipton, Executive Director, presented a proposal to give Susan

Doherty, a one-time cost of living raise. The cost of living raise would

be 5% beginning August 1st, 2007. Motion was made Leland Bearden

(Smyer High School) and a second made by Janie Litchford (Frisco High

School). Proposal accepted.

ITINERARY REPORTSam Tipton, Executive Director, had no itinerary report.

VOLLEYBALL COMMITTEE REPORTJason Roemer, Volleyball Committee Chair (Fredericksburg High School)

reported no new business.

BASKETBALL COMMITTEE REPORTLynn Pool, Basketball Chair, (Austin Bowie High School), reported no

new business.

TRACK COMMITTEE REPORTTim Torres, Track Committee Chair (Lubbock Coronado) asked of the

result of the UIL study of the possibility of adding an at-large entry to

occupy the ninth lane at the UIL State Track and Field Meet. Sam Tipton

gave an explanation of the Legislative Council vote.

SOFTBALL COMMITTEE REPORTMike Ledsome, Softball Committee Chair (Plano West) reported the soft-

ball committee had no new business.

SUB-VARSITY COMMITTEE REPORTStephanie Shortes, Sub-Varsity Committee Chair (Frenship High School)

reported the sub-varsity committee had no report.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORTExecutive Committee reported the sub-varsity committee had no new

business.

2007 SUMMER CLINICDebra Manley, 1st Vice President reported that we had a cancellation from

a speaker but it has been covered.

Sam Tipton led a discussion about the Regional Meetings.

NEW BUSINESSNo new business
