How to find the stem of the verb
1. Verbs with a vowel at the end of the word:
Take off the vowel at the end of the word to find the stem
e.e prynu = pryn bwyta = bwyt nofio=nofi gwylio=gwyli
2. Words that end with an ‘ed’ or ‘eg’
e.e yfed = yf rhedeg = rhed cerdded = cerdd
3. Words that do not change at all.

To simply put any tense into a negative form you add ‘ddim’ afterwards. However the first letter will take a mutation. If the first letter is a T C or P it will take an aspirate mutation. If the letter is not then it will take a soft mutation.
