Thank you for taking the time to review TF Publishing’s 2014 calendar line. We have a great selection for your stores and I am confident they will deliver the sales and gross margin you desire. I cannot believe TF Publishing is entering its 17th year as a company. Our success is attributed to retail partners like you, and to a great group of employees that are here to serve you.

As you consider a calendar program with TF Publishing, there are several market dynamics I would like to make you aware of that will help your business.

• MarketShare Now is the time to gain market share because there are customers looking for our products.

Borders Bookstores is no longer in business and several mass retailers have cut their calendar programs back. Interestingly, our business has grown! I believe the downward pressure in the economy has helped the strong retailers and publishers survive and grow.

• Markdowns Did you know the second best month for selling calendars is January? Last year,

TF Publishing worked with several retail partners on eliminating markdown programs. Their unit volume did not change, yet their gross margin dollars increased significantly. It does not make sense to markdown products during the peak selling season. We are finally seeing retailers hold to full retails and driving margin. A “no markdown pricing strategy” is a proven approach and will increase your profit.

• TFPublishing It is essential to carefully consider the suppliers with whom you partner. I am proud to say,

TF Publishing is debt free. It is important for you to know we are a very healthy company and we will continue to be conservative with our future endeavors. Being debt free also ensures you will receive quality products, on time. We treat our suppliers as partners. We pay all of our partners on time and work closely with them to deliver exceptional calendar programs for you. Treat others as you would like to be treated is true in business and in life.

Green COMMiTMenTWe take our responsibility

to the environment very seriously.

• Paper:Our company uses products carrying the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) label; they are independently certified as coming from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.

• Inks:All of our products use environmentally safe inks that are audited by a third party company to ensure their environmental safety.

• CorrugateDisplays:Our suppliers are certified by both the Sustainable Forest Initiative and the FSC. 65% of the paper for our displays comes from post-consumer waste.

• Building:The company’s wind turbine powers our sales/design/logistics facility with renewable energy.

• Recycling:Our company has initiated a first-of-its-kind (for Indianapolis) recycling program for our own use and for the rest of the business park.

Our turbine is a 50kW system that was installed on April 24, 2008. It is capable of producing 100,000 watts of electricity per year. The tower is 100’ tall and each blade on the turbine is 24’ long. The turbine will turn naturally with the wind – a natural yaw system - there are no motors involved in turning the windmill, just the wind. The metal at the end of each blade is called “brakes” that can be released to slow the windmill down.
