What to expect at APPPEXPO 2014based on what we experienced at APPPEXPO 2013
We have separate reports on inks in general, plus the present report on textile inks in particular. The focused report on just textile inks is because there are five major kinds of inks for fabrics:
• Dyesublimation(printingontransferpapertoheattransferviasublimationtopolyester).
• Dispersedye(printingdirectlyonpolyesterandsublimatingwithaheatpress
• Reactivedye
• Aciddye
• Pigmentedink(mostforcottonbutalsootherfabrics).
YoucanalsoprintonwovenmaterialswithUV-curedinks,latexinks,solventinks.FormanyyearsIprintedonsilkwithwater-basedinks.Butifyouneedtoprintfull-timeontextile,the“textileinks”aremorerealistic.
Althoughtherearespecialexposfortextileprinting,inrealitythesearetextileweavingandtextileknittingequipmenttradeshowswhichalsohavelotsoftextileprinters.Butmostofthesearemillion-dollarprinters.YoucanordertheFLAARReportsonallthespecializedtextileexpos.
