PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear TLPCA Membership,
It is hard to believe that Christmas is almost
upon us and before you
know it we will be ush-
ering in 2017! As we roll into the Christmas
Season I am thankful
for so many things.
The health and happi-
ness of my family, friends and colleagues,
the ability to live and
work in a free country,
the prosperity sur-rounding our current
market conditions and
most importantly the Grace provided by my
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am also reminded that there
are many families that are not so fortunate which makes the
Christmas Season very hard. I hope you are all able to take time to count your blessings as well as find time to give back
to some of those who are less fortunate.
Things do slow down a bit in December, but I did want to
bring a few things to your attention:
1. We are in the beginning works of planning the educa-tion portion of the 2017 Convention. We could use
your help by providing any Houston Architect, GC
and code official contacts to help us advertise the CE courses and the trade show. An email will be going
out with more information very soon.
2. We just completed our first scaffold training session
in Dallas with a total of 48 members receiving a cer-tificate of attendance. The group was made up of 29
members and 19 non-members. We are looking to
host similar events in Houston and Austin very soon. Special thanks to Rick Durham with EZ Wall
Concentrate for coordinating this and Joe Vecera
with Safway Services for providing a discounted rate to attendees.
I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year.
We look forward to big things for the TLPCA in 2017 and
appreciate the continued support of our members to make them a reality.
