Brett Hull’s 1974 Ford Bronco

In this space, I mostly write about my ‘65 Toyota Land Cruiser and the work I’ve done to it.

The Cruiser is done and we’ve decided to start featuring proj-ect vehicles from our readers.

Our first reader submitted project vehicle is a 1974 Ford Bronco from Brett Hull.

“My name is Brett Hull. I am currently restoring a 1974 Ford Bronco.

I purchased this Bronco about 2 years ago from the original owner with less than 30,000 original miles. Since the purchase I have started many new modifications to turn this old classic into an up to date reliable daily driver.

I am currently installing a new rebuilt engine that is fuel injected. The modifications also include complete rewiring of vehicle so that it is compatible with the on board computer just like the new cars.

The fuel lines have all been replaced so that they pipe into the new 23 gallon EFI fuel tank.

Under the hood the bronco will also be sporting a serpentine belt and a electric fan.

These modifications not only will improve performance but it will keep me on the road like a new car, getting approximately 17 to 19 mpg.

I have many future goals for this Bronco that include a 3 1/2 inch lift kit , new roll cage, new air conditioner, a new rebuilt automatic transmission with overdrive, new wheels and tires and a new paint job.

I will submit pictures of all the new upgrades. Hope you enjoy this story and keep your head up for this Bronco driving the streets.”
