FRONT/INSIDE OF THE LIFT
This is a front and inside view of the
current lift which we are planning on
using for our filming.
Here on the left is the front view, from
an on lookers perspective, the lift is
closed and in the bottom left had
corner it can be seen that the button
to call the lift has been called
therefore indicating the lift is here.
When we start to come up with how
we are going to film in/outside the lift,
we need to look at the different
camera angles as well as focusing on
where the best shots can e taken. As
you can see from first glance the lift is
a reasonable sixe so this should come
in useful when wanting to films scenes
within the lift. Planning the timing of
when this lift could be used would be
key. This is because the lift is used
within a school, for staff and certain
students, so this should be taken into
consideration and be done at
convenient times.
To the right of the page, the lift is open, this gave us chance to see what it was like to stand in, it also gave us time to look at the lighting,
looking at how this could effect the reflection within the mirror as well as the reflection of the camera. Looking in the lift we found that it
opened up either side, so this became in our favour because when filming we could use this to show people getting out at different
floors or, use it as where the male character gets out to go to his security room therefore acting as like a service elevator. The lighting
which is in the lift will be good for when we come to think about lighting, this is because there is enough light in there that if we wanted
to darken shot or make them lighter then we wouldn’t loose bits of the shot from not having enough light there.

BUTTONS ON THE LIFT(OUTSIDE)
This is a close up image of the buttons on the lift. We chose to take a close up image of these buttons because this could become one of the short shots within the short film, this could also become an opening shot, the camera could be focused on the button and see someone press the button, therefore this gives the indication that this film is going to feature a lift. The buttons illuminate orange, which will be good for shorts as it is an indication that the lift is arriving.
This is another indicator of when the lift is arriving. This could also become an opening shot or even a closing shot, for the start/end of the film. As well as showing what floor this lift it is on it also gives an indication of which way the lift is going either up or down. This would be used for very short, sharps shots, which like when used it a trailer gives an overview of the scene, this could therefore showing the main location of the short films setting.

PERSPECTIVE FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE LIFT
This is a medium shot from inside the lift, from
standing outside of the lift looking in, its clear that
there is enough room for two people to stand as
well as be filmed. This mean it gives enough
space to be able to film from different
perspectives. Within this image, its clear to the
left of the image that within the lift there is a
reflection next to her, this will be from the lighting
so this will be an aspect to look at.
Also where the character would stand and be
filmed would have to be considered. This is
because it doesn’t want to look too cramped
within the lift, this would make it uncomfortable
for the characters and it would then start to look
un processional, so the film won’t flow.
Filming outside of the lift instead of inside, would
make it a lot easier because it would be too
crowded within the lift for everyone to be in. So
then we get a front perspective of the characters
which are within the lift but don’t have them
pushed into the back wall. What would need to
be considered when filming would be looking at
the how to film without the door being closed or
being able to see the join of the lift door, so it
would either have to be held open.
Here on the right is a similar image which shows the lift from a perspective which is further out of the lift so this is a medium long shot. It shows more of a fuller picture from the outside of the lift. This could also be a shot from outside the lift where it shows the doors closing, this means that the audience can get a view before the doors close. This therefore shows that there are two people within the lift introducing the two main characters.
