Sat 27 Aug - Indoor Sports Centre Open Day Want to get a preview of what’s on offer at the newly completed Indoor Community Sports Centre in Kilbirnie? Then go along to the open day, which will feature sports matches, athletics, and displays of less well-known sports such as korfball, futsal and ultimate frisbee. A free shuttle bus will run between the Railway Station and the sports centre along bus route #2.. Sat 27 Aug, 10am-3pm, Kilbirnie. Volunteer Opportunity United Nations Online Volunteering Today, Friday 19 August, is World Humanitarian Day -a celebration of people helping people. It is also about inspiring the spirit of aid work in everyone, so a perfect time to find out how you can join forces with United Nations and aid organizations worldwide. It might come as a surprise but you can actually change the world from your computer! Volunteering over the internet is a great way to share your skills, knowledge and ideas. The UNV Online Volunteering service connects volunteers with organizations working for sustainable human development.
