Benefits Of Dual Plate Check Valves
Product Characteristics Water Hammer PreventionWater hammer commonly occurs when
a valve is closed suddenly at an end of
a pipeline system, and a pressure wave
propagates in the pipe. Terofox Check Valves
have quick response by closing discs. It
decreases the frequency of water hammer
condition.
Non SlammingWhen swing check valve is closed, the reversal
of fluids in the pipeline will slam the plates
(discs) against its seal, and would cause the
noise, shortening the valve service life in many
cases. Terofox Dual Plate Check Valves have
outstanding springs against the plates (discs)
to resist the reversal of fluids, causing the
plates(discs) to close slightly.
Simplicity InstallationMost of traditional swing check valves are
heavy and closed improperly. Also they take
more space than dual plate check valves.
Dual plate check valves are able to be
installed in any position, horizontal or vertical.

air test.

to meet the requirement of NACE MR0175
treatment.

Range Of Material
Our Dual Plate Check Valves are subject to API594 or our own design. Available with wafer, lug,
flange or butt-weld ends. It features two half-discs, that pivot on a center post.
Standard body material included grade of A126 class B ( cast iron ), A536 Ductile Iron, A216 WCB,
A352 LCB, and ASTM A351 austenitic stainless steel, alloy 20, super duplex, Hastelloy C , Monel
grade materials for various applications.

1. Butterfly Valves shall be tested as per ANSI B16.34, MSS SP-61, API598, ISO 5208 Terofox would organize the inspection according to API 598 if customers didn t require prior to order.
2. Butterfly Valves should be seated test as per MSS SP-61 or ISO 5208 with no leakage occurrence for resilient seated.
3. If butterfly Valves are required by stem 17-4PH material, Terofox will test in compliance with MSS SP-61 or ISO 5208 only

A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow, Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterlfy valves are currently favoured by customers due to lower cost compared to other type of valves as well as bring lighter in weight. It means easy installation with simple operation. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. Terofox has several kinds of butterfly valves, each adapted for different pressure, application and different usage.

The phenolic backed seat is non-collapsible, streth resistant, blowout-prood and easily replaceble.
The soft backed valve has a wider seal section between seat and flange while mounted, but soft backed seat is subjet to distortion during installtion and closing and is contributed to shaft leakage and high torque.
