CORE VALUES
Be Respectful
Excellence Always
Participate Courageously
Serve Others
Monday 31st October was a special day in
Kindergarten as we held a surprise Baby Shower for
Mrs Lamplough.
After the children realised that it wasn't actually
going to rain babies, they had a lovely time eating
party food and drinking home-made lemonade.
Many thanks to all those who contributed to Mrs Lamplough's gift. Special thanks to Mrs Richards for
organising the gift and setting up the party.
KP have thoroughly enjoyed having Mrs Lamplough as their teacher each Monday. They gave her a
beautiful book full of their thanks. It also contained some very helpful advice
including:
Thank you Mrs Lamplough for all your hard work! We wish you all the best for your new baby.
Babies like milk and pies.
Take the baby to Flip Out.
Only let the baby play the iPad on the
weekends.
Don't let the baby eat glass.
2017 Student Leadership Team
The selection of the 2017 Student Leadership team has been finalised following voting last

Relieving Principal’s Report
Whilst Mrs Bryan is on leave, I have had the pleasure of once again,
stepping into the position of Relieving Principal.
I’d like to thank Mr Bryan for replacing me whilst Mrs Bryan is on
leave. I can assure you that the students in 1F (and many others)
are definitely amused that Mr Bryan is replacing Mr Frith who is
replacing Mrs Bryan…!
A big congratulations to our new Leadership Team for 2017.
Captains: Ella Terry and Eli Przydacz
Vice Captains: Amy Rossetto and Archie Gill
Prefects: Melody Frith, Maggie Laurence-Rogers, Eli Geisker and Lucas Turano
I would also like to congratulate Josh Watson, Dom Eagle, Lachlan Nelson, Charlie McGauley, Skye O’Neill, Charlie
Huszar, Matilda Duncan and Lily Jay. These eight students just missed out on being elected. Their speeches were
outstanding, and the effort they put in was amazing.
Healthy Harold has been visiting our school. He has been helping the children learn about healthy choices, body
systems and safe and unsafe situations.
Well done to the Year 5 and 6 girls who participated in the Transition Dance Group Feeder School Tour. Dancing in
five schools in one day is a big effort and is really tiring. Apparently the McDonald’s lunch makes it all worthwhile
though!
Thanks to Mr Riedy for organising the AFL clinics for K-2. I know that all the children really enjoyed the games and
activities.
We had our second Kindergarten Transition day last Friday. It was lovely to meet and welcome so many new families
to our school. Thank you to all of the BEPS staff for jumping in and assisting with the transition days. You all know the
part you have played, and you have all done it with a smile on your face. I really do appreciate your teamwork.
A number of our students have been participating in the Special Swimming Scheme over the past two weeks.
Learning how to be safe in and around water is very important, particularly with summer approaching. Luckily the
weather has been superb.
Well done to Mr McGowan and the boys and girls who were part of the Regional T20 cricket finals. Everybody enjoyed
the day, and our students displayed outstanding sportsmanship.
Year 2 have been learning Square Dancing with Mr Todd. We had lots of parents and grandparents in the hall earlier
this week, enjoying watching them dance.
Thanks to the P&C for organising last night’s disco. Everybody had a great time.
Good luck to the T-Ball and Cricket teams representing Blaxland East at the Summer
Games. I know they will be displaying our core value of Participate Courageously.
And finally, a big thank you to the staff, students and BEPS community for your support whilst I have been relieving for
Mrs Bryan.
Regards,
Michael Frith.
