Support Staff Day Today we celebrate International Support Staff Day. Our support staff are amazing and we couldn’t do without them. Our school community would like to acknowledge the exceptional work done by the dedicated support staff at our school. The un wilting positive energy provided by Al, Vivien, Marlena, Lisa, Janine, Nadine and Robyn (Helen and Stayci, absent in photo). THANKS!! To all of you for your efforts. Sadly we farewell teacher aide Marlena this week, a terrific team member. We wish her all the very best.

Pukenui Cross Country The sun came out, and the students certainly gave It their all and it was neat to hear everyone cheering for their house groups and the way they assisted each other. Maths Buddy Math Buddy starts this Tuesday 21st May, 3 - 4pm in Room 6. Head lice A few classes, across the school, have had cases of head-lice recently. A new head lice treatment is now funded and available, free - for children under 13. The doctors appointment and head lice prescription should be free.

Autumn Poem

I see the lemon sunset that blinds me with its beauty I hear the birds sing their lovely lullaby

I smell the clean community and its riches that's grow in the air I taste the cold wind as it runs free throughout my whole body

I feel the pole waggling free like a silent snake fighting for its freedom

I wonder what it would feel like to be the wind that soars through its goals

Rippa Rugby Tournament is on Friday 7th June. Pukenui has two Year 5 & 6 teams entered, and one Year 7 & 8 team. There is no fee for this tournament. Coaches/parent support are still required for the Year 5 & 6 B team and the Year 7 & 8 team.
