TENDRING DISTRICT COUNCIL
FORWARD PLAN 174
APRIL 2016 – MAY 2016
Published 17 March 2016
Tendring District Council – Forward Plan Welcome to our Forward Plan
We are publishing the Plan so that you know which major decisions we are planning to take.
Purpose of the Plan:
- advance notice for all Members of planned decisions by the Council’s Cabinet or Portfolio Holders
- to enable interested Members to ask for further information or to ask questions of or put their views to the Decision Maker in advance of the decision.
The Plan sets out for the next two months:
A short description of matters under consideration and decisions which are proposed to be taken in private (Part B) and details as to what these are and the date on which, or period during which, the decision is to be made;
Who is responsible for taking the decisions;
The documents to be submitted to the decision maker for consideration and relevant contact details to receive copies from; and
A note that other documents relevant to the decision may be submitted to the decision maker and details of how to receive copies;
To keep you up to date with our work a new Plan will be published at the beginning of each month.
From time to time, there may be items in addition to those listed in this Forward Plan, which Members will be notified of in advance and of when decisions on these are likely to be taken.
Copies of the Forward Plan or extracts from any documents listed (subject to any prohibition or restriction on their disclosure) are available at the Council Offices at the Town Hall, Station Road, Clacton on Sea, Essex, CO15 1SE between the hours of 8.45am and 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am and 4.45pm on Friday.
Each Plan will also be available on the Tendring District Council website at www.tendringdc.gov.uk.
A list of those Councillors that make up the Cabinet (Leader and Portfolio Holders) appears at the back of the Plan. Councillor Neil Stock Leader of the Council
Whilst the majority of the Cabinet’s business in this Forward Plan will be open to the public and media organisations to attend, there will inevitably be some business to be considered that contains, for example, confidential, commercially-sensitive or personal information.
Where such business is shown (to be held in private, and the reasons for doing so), this serves as formal notice under the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012, that part of the Cabinet meeting shall be held in private because the agenda and reports for the meeting will contain exempt information under Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it. If you have any queries, please email [email protected]
