APAKAH TEKNOLOGI ANGKASA LEPAS?WHAT IS SPACE TECHNOLOGY?
Space technology is technology developed by space science for use in spaceflight, satellites, or space exploration. On October 4, 1957, USSR launched the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, into space.

Sistem Penentu Sejagat (GPS) 1.
Types of satellite’s orbit 1. There are five types of satellite’s orbit:
(a) Low Earth Orbit, LEO – The orbit height is between 180 and 2, 000 km
(b) Medium Earth Orbit, MEO – The orbit height is between 2 001 and 35 780 km.
(c) Geosynchronous Orbit, GSO – The orbit height is 35 786 km and an orbital plane with a tilt angle to the equatorial plane.
(d) Geostationary Orbit, GEO – The orbit height is 35 786 km and an orbital plane on an equatorial plane.
(e) High Earth Orbit, HEO – The orbit height is equal to or greater than 35 780 km.
The position, height and velocity of satellites 1. The position of the apogee and perigee of a satellite
in its elliptical orbit are respectively the furthest and closest satellite position to the planet or star surrounded by the satellite.
2. For a satellite orbiting the Earth, the velocity of the satellite changes its direction.
3. The higher the satellite orbit, the lower the satellite velocity.
The launching of satelit 1. A launcher sends a satellite or spacecraft into space
using rockets i.e. a one-use launcher (rocket) and reusable launch vehicles (space shuttle).
2. Ways to put satellites into orbit are:(a) Directly along a straight line(b) Through the expanding orbit and Hohmann
transfer orbit 3. A space station provides a place in space that enables
astronauts to carry out research while in outer space. 4. Zero-gravity conditions are conditions or locations
without gravity.
Global Positioning System (GPS) 1. The Global Positioning System, GPS is a navigation
system that provides users with information about location and time in all weather conditions.
2. GPS is used for navigation purposes in various types of transportation such as land, sea, air and space transportation.
3. Example of a navigation application using GPS coordinates are like Google Maps and Waze.
