Tema 2: Plaasboerdery, landbou en produkte
Week 4: Graansoorte
Die Rooi Hennetjie
’n Rooi hennetjie woon op ’n plaaswerf. Een oggend skrop sy rond en sy sien lekker koringkorrels. “Ek sal die koringkorrels plant” dink sy. Niemand wil haar help nie en sy doen dit self.
Elke dag kyk sy hoe die koring groei; dit groei vinnig en mooi. Uiteindelik is die koring ryp. Hennetjie sny die koring self af, want niemand wil haar help nie.
Sy neem dit self na die meule om gemaal te word. Die meulenaar maal vir haar die korrels fyn. Die rooi hennetjie neem die meel in ’n sakkie terug.
Oppad besluit sy om die meel na die bakker te neem om n koek te bak. Die bakker bak ’n groot koek en versier dit. Bo-op sit hy rooi kersies.
Die rooi hennetjie neem die koek terug plaas toe. Al die diere sien die koek en lek hul le lippe af, maar Hennetjie eet die koek al leen op!

Week 5: Groenteboerdery

Die vriendelike wortelmannetjies
Wil lem se pa is ’n groenteboer. Hy moet elke dag, na skool, sy Pa help in die groentelande. Hierdie week is Wil lem se Pa siek en hy moet al les al leen doen. Hy werk baie hard. Arme Wil lem swoeg elke middag om klaar te maak. Vandag trek hy wortels uit. Ewe skielik sien Wil lem hoe ’n wortel sommer net verdwyn! Daar verdwyn nog een! En nog een! Nou is Wil lem sommer bang. Hy hardloop so vinnig as hy kan huis toe
Wil lem weet nie dit is maar net die Wortelmannetjies wat help nie. Hul le het vir Wil lem jammer gevoel en besluit om self in te spring en te help. Die Wortelmannetjies kry blitsvinnig al die wortels in mandjies gepak. Hul le sluip na Wil lem se huis toe en pak die mandjies vol wortels mooi in ’n ry voor die deur. Wil lem loer deur die venster. Hy kan sy oë nie glo nie! Die Wortelmannetjies verdwyn. Hy dink hy droom! Hy hardloop na sy Pappa se kamer toe.“Pappa, Pappa” sê hy “Weet Pappa wat? Daar was sulke snaakse.....” Wil lem huiwer.“Ag nee, toemaar.” Wil lem weet niemand sal hom tog ooit glo nie! Hy sê maar net “Al les is klaar Pappa.”
