Teleplay- a play written for television; must deliver all its ideas through dialogue
and stage directions
Stage Directions- instructions written by the dramatist to
describe the appearance and actions of characters, as well as
sets, costumes, and lighting
Dialogue- conversation between characters in a literary work
Narrator- a voice that comments on the action
Pan- to turn the camera to follow or scan a person or
object
Cut- to switch the camera from one scene to another
Close Up- when the camera moves close to a subject
Long Shot- when the camera films a subject from a long
distance away
Fade In- when the picture slowly appears on the
screen
Fade Out- when the picture slowly disappears from the
screen
