First of all the operator has to know that the fault is inside the building of central office or it is somewhere else on the line. The purpose of the User Side TDR is to test the access line.

Two modes are provided: Normal mode for the localization of shorts and brakes. Long time mode for the localization of loose contacts.

Spectrum AnalyserELEKTR NIKAThe purpose of the User Side Spectrum measurement is to get information about the disturbing voltages on the line.In that mode ETET 30 can detect the presence of ADSL, ADSL 2+ or VDSL modem at the users home when the DSLAM is disconnected from the subscribers line.

User Side Test CallELEKTR NIKAIn this mode the subscribers telephone set can be tested with his assistance.The operator should call and communicate with the subscriber. Loop TestAsk the subscriber to keep the line and wait. Start loop resistance and loop current measurements with the Loop Test key. Loudness TestSend test tone with the Send 800 Hz key. After a while ask the subscribers opinion about the loudness.Dial TestSometimes the subscribers complain that they are connected to another subscriber instead of the one they wanted to call. The purpose of that test is to identify the reason of the malfunction. Press the Dial Test key. Ask the subscriber to press the numbers on his key board after each other.

Exchange Side Tests of ETET 30ELEKTR NIKAETET 30 provides: The test of ringing, register and line feed circuits of exchange. The location of wiring problems inside the building of central office.

Ringing Test ELEKTR NIKAIn this mode the operator can dial up any phone number using a service line.

Typical applications: The subscriber complains that the loudness of ringing is not enough. To check the proper operation of exchange the operator dials the users phone number and ETET 30 measures the ringing voltage.

The operator would like to use ETET 30 as a normal phone.

Register Test ELEKTR NIKA

Sometimes the subscribers complain that they are connected to another subscriber instead of the one they wanted to call. The purpose of that test is to identify the reason of the malfunction.

In this mode ETET 30 sends a test call from the subscribers line to the service line and indicates the appearance of ringing voltage.

Modem DetectionELEKTR NIKAFunction:In that mode ETET 30 can detect the presence of ADSL, ADSL 2+ or VDSL modem at the users home when the DSLAM is disconnected from the subscribers line. Principle of operation:The modem detection is based on spectrum measurement. ETET 30 recognizes the hand shake signals rhythmically transmitted by the modem.

ETET 30 offers two test options: Synchronization Test providing information on the training process and the actual state of line. In this mode there isnt data transfer between the local and public network. Automatic Test providing detailed information on the quality of data transfer between the local and public network.
