PRINCIPAL’S PATTER
Hello Everyone
Welcome back to the last term of the year. It’s going to be a busy one,
particularly for our Year 6 students who will be graduating at the end of the
year. We wish them all the best for their final term with us.
I would like to remind everyone (once again) about ‘Stranger Danger’ in our
community and for us all, to talk through and reinforce the following safety
messages with students. Whenever possible, walk with a friend or in a group.
Never take short-cuts through isolated areas. Always be aware of one’s
surroundings. If possible walk facing the on-coming traffic. Never get too
close to cars that stop nearby. Always report any stranger danger concerns.
Our staff continues to reinforce the above messages to the students in the
class room and parents are encouraged to talk to their children about the
importance of these messages. By using common-sense we can all work
together to keep our children safe.
I would also like to remind everyone about the importance of travelling at 40
kilometres an hour when driving in school zones. With so many people being
killed and injured on our roads this year it is important to slow down and
travel at safe speeds when dropping off and picking up children from
school.
Enjoy your weekend.

CAKE STALL A cake stall was run on the last Friday of
Term 3 during morning recess. The School
Councillors and some enthusiastic Yr 5/6
students organised and supported this
school fundraising event. It was a great
success, raising approximately $150.00 for
our school which will be spent on sports equipment.
Thank you to the parents who helped bake for this
activity.

Patience – Virtue for October
What is Patience? Patience is quiet hope and trust, expecting things to turn out alright. Patience is being calm and tolerant when difficult things happen. It means showing acceptance when you or others make mistakes. Patience is doing something now so that later it will bear fruit, like planting a seed and waiting for it to grow.
Why Practise It? Without patience people want everything NOW. They complain when unpleasant things cannot be helped. They act mad when things don’t go their way. When people practise patience, they can wait without complaining. They forgive others and themselves for mistakes; they make the world a kinder, gentler place.
Signs of Success Congratulations! You are practising Patience when you:
• calmly tolerate a delay or confusion
• are willing to wait for things you want
• set goals and stick with them until they are finished
• do something now that will help you in the future
• accept things you cannot change with humour and grace
• are tolerant when mistakes are made

UNIFORM NEWS -Faction Polos
Has washing caused the logo to significantly fade on your
faction polo?
The manufacturer has agreed to rectify this issue over the next few weeks.
If you have one that has faded, please return it/them to the front office by
Friday 2nd November, and advise Mrs Walker the students name, year &
classroom number.
The faded prints will eventually be credited or replaced with new shirts.
Due to health regulations all items must be washed before returning.
All of the new shirts in stock in the uniform shop will be put through the heat
set treatment again to make sure the prints are stable.
