In 2014 an estimated 5.7 million total video conference-enabled patient visits were conducted across the United States, which is expected to nearly triple to 16 million+ next year and skyrocket to 130 million in 20183.

Moreover, this year’s adoption of a model telemedicine policy by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB)4 brought long-awaited guidance on telehealth practices to help further the delivery of convenient, clinically meaningful video-enabled encounters.
