There are 2 types of cross connect cabling orders: 1. TIC (Telehouse Internal Cable – a cross connect between 2 locations in the same Telehouse data centre) 2. ILK (Interlink Cable – a cross connect between 2 locations in different Telehouse data centres)

Server room “TFM room”

Telehouse Server Rooms are composed of the areas below. Each room or area has a unique name: 1. TFM: Telehouse Facility Management Room (ex. TFM10) 2. SFM: Shared Facility Management Room (ex. SFM10) 3. DFM/Suite: Dedicated Facility Management Room/Suite Room (ex. DFM10/ Suite name) 4. Rack: Server rack (ex. Rack 10)

< Order Procedure > 1. Please fill out the order form. (If you do not have a form, please contact us). See page 7 for how to complete the form.

2. Please send it to our Sales Support Team at:

3. Telehouse will then issue you a quote.

4. Please check all the details, sign the quote and confirm your purchase order number - then send it back to us.

5. We accept your order and then pass the order to our Installations team and confirm receipt.

6. A handover email will be sent by our Installations team once the order is completed – Note: This is sent to the person who sent the order form to us.

1. Completion lead time

TIC (Internal Cabling)/ILK (Interlink Cabling) • 4-5 working days from Acceptance When the order is completed, a handover email will be sent. Please only contact Sales Support to check on order status if you have not received handover after lead times above.

• Signed quote & a PO* is required to enable acceptance. • Orders are Accepted up to 3pm each working day. • Signed quotes received after 3pm will be accepted on the

next working day

*PO / PO number : This is a unique reference that enables us to match your cabling order with our invoices. Please supply us with your unique PO number.

1.Customer Name Optional but helps us to find the correct location. A-end MUST be the customer that is ordering the cross connect and must be directly contracted with Telehouse for that location. 2. Telehouse Building –Mandatory (e.g. North) 3. TFM Room OR Suite Name)– Mandatory 4. SFM OR DFM and Rack Number – Mandatory The rack is normally a letter followed by a number-(e.g. TFM room 1, Rack A 1 or TFM room 1, DFM XX, Rack A 1). 5. Patch Panel : If required Please provide this info if you require the cables to terminate on a specific patch panel. Each patch panel will have its own reference. 6. Device, U position / 9.Port : If required Please provide this info if you require the cables to terminate on a specific device, U position, or specific Port. Each port will have its own reference. 7. Notes This can be anything extra we may need to know. (e.g. Leave 1m tail. Loop cable, Leave hanging etc.) 8. Diverse Route If you need a diverse route, you will need to order 2 pairs or 2 cables. This applies where the cables have the same A-end and B-end locations. However, each cable will take a different route. Also you can order a routing to be diverse to an existing cables – please ensure you provide the relevant TIC or ILK reference. 9. Cable Details –Mandatory Please select the cable type, quantity, and connector type you require. *Please attach LOA ( “Letter of authorization” to install at the B-end customer’s room )

If additional cross connects are needed in the future, Telehouse would recommend installing patch panels, as shown below: We offer 2 types of patch panels. 1. Coupler panel : best for “ from 1 to 6 pairs” of cross connects. 2. Splice panel : best for “ more than 6 pairs installed at one time” of cross connects.

The Telehouse Access system ensures that personnel are only able to access areas to which they are fully authorised to enter.

⑧ Access

“DFM /Suite room”

If access is required to install a cross connect order, please ensure you arrange for this to be authorised by our Installations team 1. Telehouse Installations team will send a list of Telehouse engineers and dates access is

required. 2. Please then send an email to Docklands Security <[email protected]> to authorise

our access. 3. If Telehouse sends an access request for “B” end, please ask “B” end customer to grant

access through Telehouse Security by email to <[email protected]> . *Note – LOAs (Letters of Authorisation) cannot be accepted for access – the Telehouse procedure must be followed
