1990 - Telekom Malaysia Berhad - listed on Bursa Malaysia
1998 - MCMC is setup

1968 - SEACOM cable line Peninsula Malaysia to Sarawak via the South
China Sea.
1983 - Data Telecommunications System (Datel).
1985 - the ATUR, 1st wireless phone system introduced JTM.
1988 - STM Cellular Communications Sdn Bhd (Celcom), the first
provider of GSM based mobile services.
1997 - TM introduced CDMA based mobile to home users
2001 - Streamyx ADSL broadband internet service.
2003 - Celcom became the 1st provider to introduce video call based on
3G WCDMA technology.
2008 - Packet One introduced WiMAX services on 802.16e spectrum.
2008 - FTTH (UniFi) launched by TM.
