If we truly love him, we need to show it. He did show us he loves us by laying down his life for us. Thus, the greatest symbol of our faith, redemp- tion and most of all his sacrificial love for each one of us. So that it will be easier for us, he even summed up the Ten Commandments into two: the love of God and the love of our neighbor. If our love for him is real, we, too, need to show it through our deeds as we love God and our neighbor. If we don't, then our love is empty. It's all talk and talk is cheap. "Love is not a feeling. Holy Family Parish in South Pasadena and All Souls Parish in Alhambra helped us through their priests who came to respond to our sacramental needs. Thank you so much Holy Family and All Souls We are so blessed to have a projector and a screen where we find the song we sing. I pray that we really take advantage of this because not all churches have one. Let us truly sing together as one church. "Let all the earth cry out to God with joy!" Please pray for the eternal repose of Margaret Estrada, mother of Deacon Armando. We thank her for all she has contributed to Saint Stephen. May she rest in peace. June 4 will be Pentecost Sunday. The birthday of our Catholic Church. The day we re- member the Holy Spirit descending on the apostles in tongues of fire. Let us then wear something RED on that special day to symbolize the Holy Spirit. We would like to thank The Ibarra Family, Javier, Francine, and Hannah, who has vol- unteered to take the leadership in organizing the Parish Festival this coming October. Our gratitude, too, to the Knights of Columbus who also have committed to serve with the Ibarras. The Knights of Columbus..always "the strong right arm of the Holy Father and the Church." (John 14:15) Jesus challenges us today. If we truly love him, we need to show it. He did show us he loves us by laying down his life for us. Una mujer estaba enviando una vieja Biblia familiar a su her-mano en otro estado. "¿Hay algo quebradizo en este paquete?" -preguntó el empleado del correo. "Sólo los Diez Mandamientos", respondió la mujer. (Libro de bromas católicas y otro humor divino, 2da edición por el diácono Tom Sheridan) "Si me amáis, guardaréis mis mandamientos." (Juan 14:15)

Jesús nos desafía hoy. Si realmente lo amamos, tenemos que mostrarlo. Él nos mostró que nos ama dándole su vida por no-sotros. Así, el símbolo más grande de nuestra fe, redención y so-bre todo su amor sacrificial por cada uno de nosotros. Para que sea más fácil para nosotros, incluso resumió los Diez Mandamientos en dos: el amor de Dios y el amor de nuestro prójimo. Si nuestro amor por él es real, nosotros también tenemos que mostrarlo a través de nuestros actos como amamos a Dios y al prójimo. Si no lo hacemos, entonces nuestro amor está vacío. Es todo hablar y hablar es barato.

¿Cuáles fueron las dos parroquias que ayudaron a San Esteban en sus primeros días? La Parroquia de la Sagrada Familia en la Pas-adena del Sur y la Parroquia de Todos los Almas en Alhambra nos ayudó a través de sus sacerdotes que vinieron a responder a nuestras necesidades sacramentales. Muchas Gracias Familia Sa-grada y Todas las Almas Somos tan bendecidos por tener un proyector y una pantalla donde encontramos la canción que cantamos. Oro para que real-mente aprovechemos esto porque no todas las iglesias tienen uno. Cantemos verdaderamente juntos como una iglesia. "¡Que toda la tierra clame a Dios con gozo!" Por favor oren por el eterno reposo de Margaret Estrada, madre del Diácono Armando. Le agradecemos todo lo que ha contribui-do a San Esteban. Que descanse en paz. El 4 de junio será Domingo de Pentecostés. El cumpleaños de nuestra Iglesia Católica. El día en que recordamos el Espíritu Santo descendiendo sobre los apóstoles en lenguas de fuego. Vamos a usar algo ROJO en ese día especial para simbolizar el Espíritu Santo. Queremos agradecer a la Familia Ibarra, Javier, Francine y Han-nah, quienes se han ofrecido como voluntarios para liderar la or-ganización del Festival Parroquial en el próximo mes de octubre. Nuestra gratitud también a los Caballeros de Colón que también se han comprometido a servir con los Ibarras. Los Caballeros de Colón .. siempre "el fuerte brazo derecho del Santo Padre y de la Iglesia". "No hay mayor alegría ni mayor recompensa que hacer una

diferencia fundamental en la vida de alguien".

Our natural inclination is to discuss concerns and prob-

lems with the people in our lives, but it can be easy for

these discussions to slip into gossip. When gossip gets

out of hand, it can damage reputations and create divi-

sion and fear, without any discussion of how to resolve the prob-

lem. Teaching your children to avoid gossip and focus on truth

starts at home—as always, parents lead by example. Try not to

gossip about rumors or other people, and teach your children to

seek solutions when there is a problem rather than just talking
