Each Teikoku Canned Motor Pump comes with the patented Teikoku RotaryGuardian (TRG) — an electrical meter that continuously monitors both axial andradial wear. The TRG indicates any serious malfunction of the pump before a failureoccurs; many users opt to have the TRG connected to an alarming device.

Teikoku's various product lines include zero-leakage canned motorpumps, mixers and accessories. All pumps are available in verticalconfiguration for longer pump life and minimal space usage inplants and other processing facilities.

TEIKOKU ROTARY GUARDIANBEARING WEAR MONITOR

In Teikoku's factory testing lab, all pumps are 100% perform-ance-tested before shipment.

Incorrect rotation isindicated by light atlower left.

Incorrect radial wear isindicated by lights atlower right.

Incorrect rotor position(axial wear) is indicated.Lights at top show thatthe rotor is situated toofar forward.

This photograph demonstrateshow the Rotary Guardiancontinnuously providesaccurate, incremental meteringof unseen axial and radialwear. The computer graphicbelow the TRG illustratescorresponding changes withinthe monitored pump (thesechanges would be concealedwithin an actual cannedmotor pump).

MAIN OFFICEHOUSTON, TEXAS

Located adjacent to our warehouse, our office houses a full staff of techni-cal advisors and service personnel.Authorized service facilities are locatedin Geismar, Louisiana and Burlington,New Jersey.

Teikoku USA’s 2,000 square foot warehouse holds, in stock, a large num-ber of pumps and spare parts within the United States for immediatedelivery. Parts and service are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Typical installationof a Teikoku cannedmotor pump in ahigh temperatureapplication.

Page 8: Teikoku Brochure

TYPE F X MOTOR (CERAMIC INSULATION)the simplest construction makes it more reliable

HIGH TEMPERATURE service pumps are available in two versions. Type F withceramic insulated motor windings (no motor cooling is required) and Type B with

cooling jacket on motor with class C insulation.

Pump size : 1.5 x 1 x 5 to 4 x 5 x 103,600 RPM motor : 2 HP / 1.5 kw to 75 HP / 55 kw1,800 RPM motor : 5 HP / 3.7 kw to 25 HP / 18.5 kwMaximum allowable liquid temperature, 750˚F / 400˚C. Standard pressure ratingup to 430 psi/30 bar.

Dynamically and hydraulically balanced single rotating elementis FREE-FLOATING in the hot liquid. This allows no thermalstress or impact on either the shaft or the bearings. No degrading of alignment or coupling problems.

Extended motor leads to keep heatfrom reaching terminals and bearingmonitors.

Ceramic insulated motorwindings withstand up to752˚F/400˚C under continu-ous full load operation. Nocooling required.

Bearing Monitor (TRG) isstandard on all pumps.

Sealed terminal plateforms true containment.

ANSI RF flanges arestandard. Otherstandards are alsoavailable.

X-TYPE (HIGH-TEMPERATURE-INSULATION TYPES)In high temperature and frequent heat-cycle applications, a specialtube recirculates the lubrication liquid WITHOUT NEED FOREXTERNAL COOLING.

Page 9: Teikoku Brochure

TYPE B WITH BUILT -IN HEAT EXCHANGER ANDMOTOR COOLING JACKET

• Toughest against temperture changes and all thermal upsets• Wider selection than any other sealless pumps• No mechanical seal, no ball bearings, no coupling -- No leakage• Selections can be made from

Pump size : 1.5 x 1 x 5 to 8 x 10 x 153,600 RPM motor : 1.5 HP / 1.1 kw to 233 HP / 175 kw1,800 RPM motor : 3 HP / 2.2 kw to 160 HP / 120 kwMaximum allowable liquid temperature, 850˚F / 455˚C regardless of the motorsize. Pressure rating up to 5,000 psi/350 bar.

Hot liquid as high as 850˚F comes in and outof pump casing, but heat conduction to motoris kept to a minimum by the adaptor neck -Casing and motor are thermally isolated, buthydraulically connected.

There is no substantial exchangebetween Hot main stream andCooled circulation stream.

Heat exchanger keeps the circu-lating liquid as low as300˚F/150˚C while main streamis 850˚F/455˚C.

Bearing Monitor (TRG) mount-ed on terminal box. Sealed ter-minal plate and true secondarycontainment.

Product is pumped by theauxiliary impeller fixed on theshaft to circulate through bearingsand the heat exchanger.

ANSI RFflanges are stan-dard. Otherstandards arealso available.

No centerline supported casing isrequired. No alignment and no levelingare required. Easy installation - lessmounting space required.

“Free Floating” single rotating ele-ment eliminates problems commonwith sealed and mag drive pumps.

Back-pull-out design foreasier maintenance.

Long lasting and self-lubricatingcarbon graphite bearings are tough-est against heat and thermal impact.
