Happy: The girl dances around (a stereotypically feminine activity) with a smile on her face, as if she has no cares. 

Optimistic: The protagonist keeps smiling despite the unlucky events she endures in the title sequence

No common sense: The protagonist represents teenage girls as slightly stupid for wearing high heels she cannot walk in. Her foolishness could be represented in the mise‐en‐scene for her being a blonde and therefore, stereotypically dumb. 

Clumsy: Walking into a lamppost, falling over and burning toast are a few examples of how the teenage girl in the sequence reviews others in that age group look clumsy. 

Sensitive: Girls are stereotypically more sensitive than men, supported by the mise‐en‐scene where we see three bears on her bed. Furthermore, they are more sensitive to the idea of love and perhaps fall for boys quickly, as shown at the very end of the sequence.  

Unorganised: Throughout the sequence, the teenage girl is rushing around in a fluster, making it obvious to the audience that she is late for5something. This portrays teenage girls to have bad timekeeping. 

 

TEENAGE GIRL 

Our protagonist is a teenage girl who in the sequence rushes to get out of bed and ready but seems carefree at the same time. The aim of our overall representation for teenage girls was that they would be seen as a positive social group.
