Albion's heritage for future generations by donating them to the Local History Room.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept old newspapers.

Founded in 1887, HSSCM keeps animals as long as it takes to find

a good home once the animal passes temperament tests and is checked for good health. Funds

raised from this event will support a low-cost spay/neuter

program for pets of Albion residents.

Spotlight: Winter Reading Challenge

Do you have what it takes to tackle the Albion District Library Winter Reading Program? Simply print out a reading log from the library website or pick one up in person in the children’s room. Next, track the amount of time you spend reading this winter. When you fill up your entire reading log, bring it back to the library to receive a free book and special prize.

December 11 – Chautauqua: An American Narrative Founded in 1874, the Chautauqua Institution offers a wide range of experiences in the arts, education, religion, and recreation, combining a rich history and tradition with a unique summer destination experience. PBS (56 min.)

December 18 – Author, Donald Vauhn Renner Mr. Renner will speak on his memories of Albion and his book, “Maybe, Just Maybe,” which takes place in during WWII in Albion. copies of Mr. Renner’s book will be available for purchase after the event.

brand new Sunrise Storytime specifically

geared toward 2-4 year olds. An engaging and self-guided playgroup

will follow each storytime session.

Pajama Storytime

Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Naomi Lane Room

Put on your favorite pajamas and join us for Pajama Storytime! We’ll sing songs, play games, and read a few books. Each storytime will be accompanied by a simple craft. All ages are welcome to attend.
