TEDxChiangMai is an international event in Chiang Mai. The 2014 theme ‘Creating Connections”

Largest creativity and idea event in Thailand. In 2013, over 800 people attended main and satellite event, over 22,000 watched recorded talks on YouTube on the TEDx channel.

Final speaker line-up to be confirmed but includes 20+ speakers and artists from Chiang Mai, Bangkok, ASEAN countries and beyond.

It is a not-for profit event. TEDxChiangMai is being organized by a team of volunteers, supported endorsed by Creative Chiang Mai (CCM) and Chiang Mai University Science & Technology Park (STeP).

What is TED TED is an annual event where some of the world’s

leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about.

“TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design (but it can be other topics) - subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future.

Past speakers include Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Steve Jobs, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck, Senators, Vice Presidents, etc.

TED was first held in Monterey, California, in 1984. It has since been regularly held with almost 2000 academic, business and government leaders from around the attending. In recent years, a sister event with a similar audience, TED Global , was organized annually in Edinburgh, Scotland.
