1. Tedd Arnold has published over 50 books. Have you read or heard any of his books?

2. Tedd Arnold was born on January 20, 1949 in Elmira, New York. He had three brothers. Tedd is the brother on the right. Tedd and his family lived on a farm in Pennsylvania for many years and then moved to Florida. 3. When he was a little boy, his mother read Dr. Seuss books to him. Tedd says the Dr. Seuss books remain vivid in his mind are are a great influence on his work. 4. He went to the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in art. 5. Tedd began work as a commercial illustrator. His wife was a kindergarten teacher and suggested that he write and illustrate childrens books. Click to hear him talk about it. 6. Tedds first book was No Jumping on the Bed! It was inspired by his son Walter. 7. Tedd and his wife Carol have two sons Walter and William. 8. His son William inspired the book No More Water in the Tub! 9. Tedd and his family live in Elmira, New York. 10. Each illustration Tedd draws goes through seven steps. 11. Cody used to love to climb on his lap when he read to his sons. 14. Tedds book The Signmakers Assistant was inspired by his previous job in advertising. 15. Tedd has been a soldier, a hamburger cooker, and a worm counter (at a fishing tackle store.) I've illustrated school books, delivered newspapers, and popped popcorn at a drive-in movie theater. When hes not writing, he likes to play tennis, sketch, read, and collect coins. 18. Tedds Favorite Place: The library is one of my favorite places. Wherever I go, whatever towns and cities I visit, I like to stop in at the libraries. I like to think of my favorite authors as being my friends, and no matter what strange places I find myself in, I can always find my friends at the library. 19.
