E’ scattato il 1 settembre il divieto dicommercializzare lampadine da 75 Watt in tuttii negozi dell'UE. Solamente la merce rimasta instock potrà essere ancora venduta. Ilprovvedimento fa parte di un processo gradualedi eliminazione delle lampadine incandescentidal mercato, che ha già visto sparire quelle da100 Watt (settembre 2009), e che nonrisparmierà nemmeno quelle da 60 (settembre2011), 40 e 25 (settembre 2012). Ma perchéquest'accanimento contro la vecchia, buonalampadina? Il problema è che il classico bulbodi vetro nasconde un congegno energivoro, checonverte in luce solo il 5% dell'energia checonsuma. Le lampadine a basso consumo - LED,alogene o fluorescenti - usano fino all'80% inmeno di energia, e durano da 6 a 10 volte di piùdi quelle tradizionali. La Commissione europeaha calcolato che in totale le nuove lampadinepossono portare a un risparmio energetico di40 miliardi di kilowatt/ora all'anno, checorrispondono a 15 milioni di tonnellate diCO2: l'equivalente del consumo energetico ditutta la Romania in un anno!
