Using the computer, overhead, etc., for presenting information.

A PowerPoint presentation by a teacher, teachers aide, classmate, etc (yawn).

The students typing a paper.

WHY ISN’T TECHNOLOGY USE NOT ENOUGH FOR THE STUDENTS?

The technology needs to be part of their learning.

When students develop databases, for instance, they are constructing their own conceptualization of the organization of a content domain. How we construct knowledge depends upon we already know, which depends on the kinds of experiences that we have had, how we have organized those experiences

into knowledge structures, and what we believe about what we know.
