The school orchestra team played instrumental rendition on stage, and their performance enthralled the audience. This is indeed a brilliant achievement by Rajorshi Sinha, a student of TIGPS Hooghly. Rajorshi Sinha performed excellently in District-level Shot-Put and Discus Throw competition, therefore qualifying for State-level. As a part of the Cambridge Young Learners English Education Programme organised by British Council, students of classesIII toV interviewed two initiators of this programme, Dr. Summauli Pyne, Director- International Relations and Outreach SNU (TIG) and Sandeep Das, GM - Business Development & Operations (Schools, TIG). This effort of the students was to understand their own personal growth and progress in speaking, listening and overall communication skills. It was a live interview with students directly, face to face asking questions to both of them. Sandeep Das entertained the students with a song playing on the guitar – “Imagine there is no heaven, it’s easy if you try, no hell below us, above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today.” Students of TIGPS Hooghly visited the CBSE Science Exhibition at Kolkata Young Learners English Programme Young Learners English Programme was organised by British Council for junior school students to enhance reading writing and speaking skills Girl Guides secured the 3rd Position in Republic Day Parade 2019 in Hooghly District FIGHTING STRESS Stress – when we hear this word, we first think of ourselves, the students. Stress generally means the overpressure created when we are boundto do excess amount of work in a short period of time. Stress is faced by everyone, of all age groups. In this article, as a student I will talk about stress faced by students.Students face stress when their studies are challenged by projects and orientations, when they have to balance homework and tuitions during exams. First situation is a very common – projects collide with regular tests. It is best to pre- -plan and manage time. We should finish the work prior to the deadline. Secondly, when we have excess homework and also need to go for tuitions, time management is required, and we should try to finish some work in school during substitution periods. And for exams, it is essential that we study regularly and memorize the chapters so that we only have to revise. Thus, there are ways to fight stress. Time management and pre-preparation are the keys. Therefore, instead of feeling stressed, fight stress, and life will be smoother. If you conquer stress before it conquers you, it can no longer suppress you.
