3. SPECS FOR HTML 5
BANNER
TECHNICAL SPECS LZ DIGITAL
Currently HTML 5 can only be implemented as a Redirect link!
3. SPECS FOR HTML 5 BANNER When booking an HTML banner in ADTECH IQ, do not build the basic structure of an HTML file (the
elements html, head, title, body etc.). The banner will almost always be delivered within a TAG that is
part of the website with an existing HTML file structure. For exceptions (e.g. your banner will be delivered
into an IFRAME Tag) please reach out to your ADTECH CS contact.
Put all necessary scripts within the index.html file (root directory).
Put all files into the root directory, do not use a folder structure.
Use unique identifiers, classes, variables and function names per banner.
Use adserver variables only within the index.html file. The adserver will not replace adserver variables
within .js files, additional HTML files or any other file types.
Adserver variables are used for example to count clicks or to define the correct path to images.
One option for linked files could be to store the necessary files on a server and to use the absolute path.
HTML banner code example with adserver variables
<a href="_ADCLICK_http://www.aol.com" target="_blank"><img src="_ADPATH_300x250_blau.jpg"
width="300" height="250" alt="ADTECH" /></a>

IQ detects different variants for upper and lower case the given one is highly
recommended: “clickTAG”! We do not recommend the following variants:

Multiple clickTAGs
Multiple clickTAGs will be programmed just like single clickTAGs.
If a Flash file needs to contain more than one link URL they will be passed via
varia-bles with postpositioned numbers (clickTAG1, clickTAG2 etc.) to
differentiate them from each other.
ADTECH IQ supports up to 10 clickTAGs in a Flash file.

B) FLASH FUNCTIONS FOR LOADING ADDITIONAL FILES Loading additional files
To load additional files from a Flash file there are 2 ways, depending on where the
file will be loaded from:
Both Flash files were uploaded to ADTECH IQ: See Additional file from
ADTECH IQ below in this topic.
The second file will be loaded from an external source: See Additional file from
an external source below in this topic.

C) SECURITY SETTINGS INTRODUCTION
Since Adobe Flash version 7 the security settings for Flash files have changed.
If the video in the Flash file is controlled with JavaScript function, or
If external files or videos should be loaded.
then the respective domain has to be “unblocked” out of the Flash file with the
command system.security.allowDomain.
Attention: It needs to be assured that these ActionScript security setting
commands are executed!

GIF banner, maximum volume 150 KB
Banner formats: Maxi-Banner (520 x 200 px), Medium Rectangle (300x 250 px)
Text ad with max. 430 characters incl. blank spaces, max. 90 for headline
Please indicate target URL
Concerning animated GIF-files please note:
In all newsletters, which are displayed in Outlook 2007 or 2010, it may occure that only the first frame of the
animated GIF-file is shown. This is due to the Microsoft engine, which is based on Microsoft „Word“. All
other versions are using the Internet-Explorer-Technology.
Our suggestion:
Please animate the first frame of your GIF-file as shortly as possible (about 0,1 sec is the minimum) and
provide all important information already in this frame. For all user, who use Outlook 2007 or 2010, the
whole ad message appears.
Due to the short animation time of about 0,1 sec all other users will be guided to the second frame directly.
The first one is not visible because it closes within the loading time of the newsletter. Therefore these users
receive the favored frame sequence.
