Rider / Technical Needs “Chrysalis”

“Chrysalis” is relatively simple technically. Its success however, does depend on a few basic elements, notably good quality sound and simple lighting that creates a warm atmosphere. The following is a list of basic equipment that we feel is necessary for the representations. This standard technical rider can be adapted to different locations. We can adapt them to almost all kind of spaces as well. If you have any question, suggestion…Please, don't hesitate to contact us to find a solution together You can see the performance’s video teaser at http://www.jordilvidal.net/chrysalis/#videos Please, send us playing floor space photos to be able to adapt the performance to your theatre and give you our agreement INDOOR VERSION (for the outdoor/street version, please, go directly to page 4) Your organisation should provide us: -Raked seating (public end on) -Ideally maximum seating 350 people Playing Floor Space _ -Wide: 8 m -Deep: 8 m - High : 4 m -Curtains: German way / black box or Italian way / wings depending the size of your stage -Floor: black dance linoleum o similar on floating wood floor (dance floor). Not slippery neither bent surface. Sound _ to provide and build -1 professional sound system -1 CD player (with auto pause) -Diffusion: downstage towards the performers (2 speakers left and right) and towards the audience (according to your room) - 2 microphones: Sennheiser K6/ME62 or similar (Sennheiser MKH40…)

You can find this paper in DIY or stationery large surfaces stores. Please keep your purchase receipt in order to reimburse you. Dressing room _ -1 dressing room, for 2 Performers and 2 technicians with water supply, mirror and direct access to stage Setting and technicians _ -Setting in lights and sound: 4h -Lighting, rehearsal and warm-up: 4h -Performance length: 52 minutes -Setting off: 1h -Your organisation should provide us 2 technicians for the lighting, rehearsals and representation

Technical Rider “Chrysalis” (Street Version)

The performance

• ‘Chrysalis’ is a dance performance, which can be, performed both indoors as outdoors.

• Outdoors the Company will perform on a stage with a fixed (it shouldn’t move) dancing floor, or a completely flat floor of concrete or asphalt covered. The

• Company needs a clearly marked site which prevents the audience of crossing the site during the performance all this in order to avoid accidents

• The dancers can’t perform when it rains, when it’s too windy or when the site is still wet and therefore too slippery

 Duration of the show

• The duration of Chrysalis is 2 x 20 minutes per day • We need at least 1h30 pause between each representation

 Conditions on the site

• A nice and clean site. Other performances can’t play in the direct surrounding of the performance of Chrysalis

• The show is accessible for ideally of 350 people. • We prefer to have a backdrop; which can also be a wall, house or something

else

• The organization should be in charge to supervise the audience • Please send us photo’s of the site; so we can prepare ourselves.

Stage

• The stage has to be set an hour before the start of the performance • Ideal measures are 10 x 10 metres (and minimum 8m X 8m) • The surface/floor should be not slippery, neither bend and be completely flat

and clean

Lights – if the performance is at night time or in a dark inside place. To provide and install by your organisation.

• General lightening with warm colours; 12 Par 64 Cp 62 • A technician who can control the lights • A dimmer

Sound – installation. To provide and install by your organisation.

• We need a sound installation with access to an I-pod and cd-player • The most suitable place for the speakers is left and right of the downstage

• A technician who can control the sound installation.

Set up / Break down

• The Company needs beforehand 30 minutes to explore the site while doing the sound check

• The Company needs 2 hours for warming up in a clean, at least 8 square metres room with a carpet or dance floor, close to the site and dressing room.

• Set up (sounds and lights): 30 minutes • Rehearsal with the lights: 30 minutes • Break down: 15 minutes

Steward of the organization

• We need one steward of the organisation to accompany the group.

 Dressing room

• A dressing room close to the site is required. • In the dressing room we need tables, chairs, a mirror, running water and a

shower.

 Catering

During the presence of the Company we expect tea, coffee, soft drinks, water and light refreshments for the artists. (which can also be placed in the dressing room)

All our meals will be in charge of your organisation.

Hotel

• 3 single rooms
