reA global brand, new directive and a willing team was all that was needed in the mix to relaunch Seartec, the proud distributor of Sharp.

Seartec, which was established 41 years ago, has undergone a major refresh with new directors, Mark McChlery (CEO) and Bob Skinstad (CMO) at the helm. The 320 strong company, with 12 branches throughout SA, focused on staff as their first port of call to introduce the company refresh!

The positive attachment to the word 'RE' saw an internal launch to all branches over one week, highlighting key ignitors... Reorganise, Reenergise, Recreate and Reconnect!

With a stunning new corporate image and renewed vision, Seartec is making bold strides to regain, once more, its rightful place as market leaders in office automation and electronics which SHARP certainly enjoys on the international stage.

A week of activations, messaging, gifts and posters saw team building at its best and all branches taking up the challenge to realign.

SHARP Japan and SMEF executives from Dubai have signalled their full might behind the Seartec repositioning and with an overriding commitment from all staff to reinvigorate their important roles within the company... it's a game changer all the way!

A brilliant marketing initiative, a superb location, a formidable sporting challenge and a group of 12 dynamic sporting legends and personalities - a magical mix for high end action and spirit(s) on all fronts!

John Smit on a surfboard, Ryan Sandes swinging a club, Bob Skinstad on a mountain bike and Ryan O'Connor attempting all three... you had to see it to believe it!

The Oakley/XOver Challenge, under the direction of Seth Hulley, saw plenty of action with these 12 sportsmen operating, at times, right out of their comfort zones, but their athletic prowess ensured that they competed at their finest, as always.

Proud sponsor Seartec, will certainly be there again next year! One year to train on that mountain bike Bob!

cONGRATuLATIONS TO GERI ODENDAAL wHO wAS THE wINNER IN THE LAST cOmPETITION!

As presenting sponsor to this exceptional annual charity fund raiser, Seartec proudly salutes the fine work of The Players Fund.

Established in 1980, The Chris Burger and Petro Jackson Foundation is a solid beacon to those in distress from physical injury and hardship. The stories are heartbreaking, the tenacity is formidable and the bravery is unquestionable.

A Charity Banquet Dinner is held each year attended by the full Springbok Team and many sporting legends of the game, present and past.

It is a significant tribute to honour and respect the work of the Fund and its important beneficiaries.

Ashwin Willemse delivered a powerful key note message interjected with a great sense of humour and candour and fully deserving of the standing ovation!

Seartec certainly enjoyed hosting clients and guests on the evening in the good company of Springboks : Victor Matfield, Patrick Lambie, Eben Etzebeth, Jannie du Plessis and Lwazi Mvovo at each of the Seartec tables.

Ron Rutland, a proud South African, undertaking a 43,000km bicycle expedition through every country on mainland Africa over 27 months, and onto the 2015 Rugby World Cup in London – celebrating health, vitality, mobility, adventure, life, and the #HumanSpirit. But more than that…cycling every pedal of the way for Lettie Haynes and her enormous fight against cancer. Tragically, Lettie recently lost her brave fight. The loss is devastating. The inspiration she afforded all who met her was contagious and her love for life and her family knew no boundaries and she will forever remain the free

spirit so loved by all. Her fight was Ron’s inspiration to undertake a journey over and beyond the norm and what an inspiration this has proved to be for all who have crossed this exceptional path. A great friend of our directors, Mark McChlery and Bob Skinstad, we have shared this incredible journey with Ron. Along with many sponsors who contribute to the magnitude of this sole operation, we have arranged his visas throughout Africa and what a lesson we take from this, along with the honour and privilege of this exceptional expedition. www.fatkidonabike.com

Ron’s resolve will be stronger than ever before and somehow we know that there will be two legends at work

as Ron moves forward to the end destination. The finish possibly yes, but the end, certainly no.

Field oF dreamS - FINAL REPORT

Hi all, just a final massive shout out to Bob for hosting us at the Field of Dreams over the past two years. I know that I speak for everyone when I say how grateful we all are to him and Debs for hosting us and allowing us to feel like kids again for a precious 35 minutes each way as we chased the round ball in search of goal glory. Thank you too to Andy for all his organizational prowess in compiling the team sheets. For those of you that couldn't make it, the final game had it all: fittingly, Bob scored the final goal, fittingly, Dan's side lost. Paul Sainsbury returned a few of the missing bibs. Debs and the family made it pitch side to cheer us on and Dan regaled us after the game with stories of his recent spiritual quest in Namibia...

dan: i went to namibia to find myself.

dougie: how'd that go?

dan: well, what i found wasn't great.

Here's a final motivational clip from a young Kevin Costner being told by the ghost of his father "If you built it, he will come." The first 20 seconds have it all. Spine tingling stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz1TJ4r7bOU

May this serve as the inspiration Paul le Roux needs to get Camp Faraway's pitch ready for the upcoming season. It may be an extra schlep over the mountain but with all the talk about a Cafe Roux team sponsorship, it may well prove worthwhile for the lads.
